The Circle of Security Parenting Programme

The Circle Of Security Parenting (COSP) is an internationally renowned group coaching programme that gives parents the tools and insights to read their children's needs and strengthen their relationship with them.

The Circle of Security Parenting Programme
7 Week Course
The Haven & Base Studio, Pulborough, West Sussex

Who's it for?

The program was designed for parents with children aged 0-6 years old who would like to strengthen their relationship with their child and reflect on the ways in which they were parented.

What will we learn?

Through this transformative programme based on over 50 years of research, you will:

Understand your child's emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs

Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions

Enhance the development of your child's self-esteem

Gain confidence in your ability to parent

Honour your innate desire and wisdom for your child to be secure.

How it works?

Each week we will meet and work through a chapter of Circle Of Security together. The program is run through a combination of videos, exercises and group discussion.

We will then have a week to reflect, digest and practice what we have learned.

When we meet again in the following session you will be invited to share your own 'circle stories' because as you learn and once you 'see' the circle, you will begin to start seeing it in your daily life with your own child.

Each group is small with no more than 8 participants in every programme to ensure there is enough time for everyone to be listened to and supported in their learning and reflection.

" This course was eye really helped me to reframe and look at how I was relating to my boys. The content was simple yet I had never considered many of the points before and in doing so shed a whole new light on ways to manage varying emotions that came my way. Karen made me feel safe and secure to share within this closed group"

(Attended COSP Summer 2023)

STARTS Thursday April 11th  2024 at 6pm

Dates: April 11th, 18th, May 2nd, 9th, 16th and 30th.

* Inclusive of programme handouts, course materials, a reflective journal and light refreshments.

How long is each session?

Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes but can be slightly shorter or longer depending upon how much each group member would like to share.

Can I bring my baby or child to the sessions?

Ideally, we request that you come without your baby or child as the course requires some self-reflection and self- exploration and these things can be tricky to do when your attention is naturally with your child. Unfortunately, there is no crèche facility for this course. If you are breastfeeding with a very young baby, babes in arms are permitted. Please email Karen to request this.

My child is 7- Is it still worth coming?

The Circle of Security Parenting Programme was designed for parents with children aged between birth and 6 years old. However, parents with older children have told us that they have benefitted greatly from attending the course.

Is there a payment option for the course?

Yes, you can pay weekly if you would prefer. Please email Karen to request a payment plan.

I don’t live in West Sussex- does Karen facilitate this programme online?

At present this is a face-to-face course only but Karen is planning to deliver the course online from the Autumn/Winter 2024. You can email Karen to join the waitlist. You can also book Karen to facilitate the course in your own group of parents (with a minimum of 8 people) across Surrey, Sussex and South West London. Get in touch for more information and availability.
