THE PEACEFUL PARENT PERI-NATAL PACKAGE
11 home consultations delivered between 32 weeks gestation and 6 months post-birth + email and telephone support throughout
60 minute initial consultation and introduction
2 x 45 minute consultation
Pregnancy is a great time for any expectant parent to think about who they are, what kind of life experience has got them to this place, what an expectant parent's feelings, dreams and aspirations are for their baby, and what kind of parent, they will or will not become.
It’s also a time to restore balance and bring calm to a person's life.
During these pregnancy sessions which take place in the 3rd trimester or pregnancy, Karen will support expectant parents to prepare physically, emotionally, and psychologically for birth and their transition into parenthood.
LABOUR & BIRTH DE-BRIEF
45 minute consultation
This session is designed for all mothers to talk about their birth experience.
This labour & birth de-brief session provides the time and space to talk openly about birth experience, to understand how events unfolded and to try to organize and process emotional responses to the experience.
This session is hugely beneficial for maternal mental health well-being and can be taken at any point up until 6 months post-birth.
4 x 45 minute consultation
The 4th Trimester is the 12 week period immediately after birth. Its a time of great physical and emotional change as a baby adjusts to being outside the womb and a parent adjusts to their transition into parenthood.
Any parent will benefit from the extra emotional and practical support that Karen provides during this time which is entirely bespoke to each family's needs and requirements.
Karen will visit each family at home 4 times during this period at a pre-determined date and time.
As an experienced perinatal practitioner Karen can support parents with:
understanding newborn communication
coping with infant crying
psychological & emotional support and
restoring balance with relaxation, mindfulness & meditation techniques.
3x 45 minute consultation
By this stage your baby will have usually developed a more predictable pattern of sleep and feeding times and a parent will be gradually learning what their baby likes and dislikes. This is a great time to begin gently 'shaping' your baby's sleep to encourage them to sleep through the night.
This is also the time when sleep deprivation can really take hold of worn out parents so its a very good time for restoring balance and making sure that you are taking care of yourself.
Karen will visit you 4 times during this period.
As an experienced peri-natal practitioner, Karen can support parents with:
understanding infant behaviour & capabilities
provide psychological & emotional support
help parents to restore balance with relaxation, mindfulness and meditation techniques
